The State of Alaska contracted with Design Alaska to perform a cadastral survey for the creation of three sections within a partially surveyed township. Located 50 miles south of Fairbanks, the survey involved the recovery of 13 original GLO corners and the retracement of two homestead parcels. A total of 18 aluminum pipe monuments were set to establish section corners, quarter corners, and private interest boundaries along the geodetic latitudinal arcs defining the sections.
Covering an area of nearly 2000 acres, the mountainous terrain varied from 600 feet to 1,400 feet MSL. Design Alaska has created a subdivision master plan to create 28 subdivision lots, 12 large tracts, and 3 new roads.
