Design Alaska was the Designer of Record for this Design-Build construction project at Fort Wainwright, Alaska for the US Army Corps of Engineers. The project included a fast-track design with split packaging in order to meet a tight project schedule driven by the return of the 172nd Stryker Brigade Unit from Iraq in October 2009. We’re proud to be a part of this $12M project that was designed and constructed in eight months.

The project included more than 16 acres of concrete hardstand, 1,300 head bolt outlets, and three miles of security fencing. Design Alaska provided Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Environmental engineering, as well as design survey and construction stakeout.

Design Alaska appreciated the opportunity to team with Bighorn-HC Contractors JV on the completion of this project and to be able to partner with the US Army Corps of Engineers throughout the design process.
