Land Surveying

Design Alaska, Inc. has been providing professional surveying services since the firm’s inception in 1957. Services include cadastral, control, topographic, construction, subdivision, asbuilt, and engineering surveys. Our experience ranges throughout the state of Alaska working for a broad base of clients that include federal, state, and city entities. Our project experience ranges from remote village surveys to large-scale city infrastructure design surveys. We are accustomed to meeting tight deadlines and working within rigid project specifications. Bill Kinne, PLS is our Chief Land Surveyor.

Project experience includes topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys for new power line corridors, hospitals, power plants, airports, and mining facilities. We have provided the surveying, mapping, construction staking, and easement documentation for the design and installation of public water, sewer, gas, and steam utilities. We have a great deal of experience working at military bases and installations throughout the state and are familiar with working within the flight lines and taxi ways of military and international airports. We are community minded, and regularly provide mortgage loan inspection surveys (plot plans) and Flood Elevation Certificates for residential properties. Every year we design and record several subdivisions in the Fairbanks North Star Borough, and are experienced working within FNSB and State platting regulations.
