Design Alaska is looking for an Architect/Project Manager who is dynamic, hardworking, and passionate about the building construction industry to join our team. Design Alaska is a full service Architecture, Engineering, and Surveying firm that provides commercial and institutional design services throughout Alaska. Design Alaska’s goal is to provide our employees with a rewarding professional experience.

Architect/Project Manager duties typically include:

  • Design building concepts, images, interior designs and visions to meet client needs
  • Detailed design of all occupied spaces and building envelopes to meet life safety and constructability needs
  • Leadership of engineers, specialists and construction contractors for an enduring, sustainable structure
  • Construction cost estimating
  • Construction job site inspections and observation
  • Project Management through construction

Design Alaska seeks these desirable attributes in Architect/Project Manager applicants:

  • College graduate with a 5-year bachelor of architecture or 6-year master of architecture degree from an NAAB accredited institution, within the last 7 years
  • Licensed in Alaska or ability to be licensed through comity from another state
  • Commercial/institutional building architectural or construction experience
  • Multidiscipline design project management experience
  • Desire to mentor emerging professionals
  • Proficiency in Revit is desired
  • Works effectively within team environments
  • Driven, focused, and manages time well
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Currently living in Alaska or looking for architectural adventure
  • Construction industry related work experience
